'Guinevere' is a full-sized, 36-string Celtic floor harp hand made by Dave Thormahlen in Corvallis, Oregon. Thormahlen harps are arguably the finest celtic harps in the world, having a warm, strong voice and mellow, bright tone. Guinevere, a Thormahlen "Swan", is made of curly maple and stands just under 5 feet tall. She is a wonderful choice for special occasions, adding a lasting visual impression of elegance as well as her gorgeous tone.
'Lulu' was named after the sweetest, strongest mare I ever met. She was a real trooper and would allow anyone from small children to burly men to ride her without complaint. My Lulu is a 22-string Stoney End "Eve" harp made of dark walnut. Weighing in at only 8 pounds, she has endured numerous hikes, overhead compartments on airplanes, and even a helicopter ride and 2 ocean kayaking trips (triple wrapped in 3-mil contractor bags). And she still sounds wonderful! For such a small harp, her tone is fantastic. Lulu is a great choice for very small spaces and remote locations, and of course informal jamming around the campfire.
